How long does it take to design a website?
As mentioned in the the cost of a website above, it depends on what kind of site the client requires and how much work the client requires us to do. It also depends on the client’s capacity to communicate with us in regarding information we require, such as providing us with content (if we aren’t writing it) or reviewing content and design, providing feedback, etc. If your website is urgent and you have a deadline, we can accomodate that in most situations.
Does Velvet Web use a CMS (Content Management System)?
A Content Management System (CMS) allows the client to log in and update/edit content as they please. This is a very handy feature in today’s web design landscape as it gives the client the ability to keep their content fresh and up to date, which is something that search engines love. There are loads of CMS’s to choose from, all being convenient to achieve the desired result but often with disadvantages when it comes to custom web design and other issues such as page load speed and security.
We use VelvetCMS. VelvetCMS is an in-house, custom built, easy to use CMS program. VelvetCMS is constantly being developed using state of the art web technology with our focus is on SEO techniques.

Does Velvet Web write the content?
We do appreciate the time involved in writing the content for a website. That’s why we do offer web content writing services. Sometimes our clients don’t have the time to write content for themselves, as they are busy running their own business. When writing content we focus heavily on current on-page SEO practices so that our clients get the most out of their website’s content.
